Become a ‘Sensory Movement and Communication Practitioner’©

A Creative movement based programme for health and wellbeing using dance and the human connection to bring solidarity and change into our communities. The three building blocks that make this training so important are:

1. The body and its movement
2. Communication : disability or trauma
3. The voice of the Heart.

The Approach is Holistic and Person Centred with s strong creative element.

Practical context:

The course will explore the relationship of Movement, Creativity; Love and Spirituality within a fun focused way. It will help you find your Inner Healer and Dancer and you will be inspired to go out into your communities to engage with many people and be their Creative Therapists.

Person-centred Energy practice:

To understand the true meaning of Person Centred Therapy and how to be the best Creative Movement Therapist you can be. Work with the energy systems of the body using your intuitive sense and inner bodily responses to feel another person psychology as oppose to analytical psychology as this is very much more in tune with body movement connecting with our own Inner Guiding Light and communing with the world around us from here.
LOVE is what helps us to feel that at the deepest level we are seen, accepted and understood no matter you age, colour, race or religion! It is an energy that permeates everything and puts the real meaning back into life.

Traditional education does not teach about love, our religions, economies and communities do not protect the earth and humanity rather behaves in ways to destroy it! Technology has taken over human connection and people have lost the art of relationship / friendship and loyalty. Movement and body are what this programme is firstly based on. We started life in movement and we end life in a movement of breathe and so everything In between gets stuck in learned behaviours and movement patterns that are imposed on us from outside influences. If we can re-learn to move with the sweet flow of human sweetness then our lives will become delicious! Through the universal language of music we are able to enter into our senses and life inside. Movement exploration, development and play help us to know and understand the world. And, nature helps us establish that sense of rhythm and timing.

The programme:

As a Dance Movement Psychotherapist (RDMP) I use the therapeutic use of movement to further the emotional, cognitive, physical and social integration of each person who comes to me. This is based on the empirically supported premise that the body, mind and spirit are interconnected. As a solid form of psychotherapy, DMP combines the

creative process and the study of human movement into a holistic approach that draws upon the elements inherent in dance and movement. We work with energy psychology as oppose to analytical psychology as this is very much more Intune with body movement connecting with our own inner guiding light and communing with the world around us from here.

From my experience for many years with learning disabilities, both children and adults, I have come to realise that if we stimulate all the senses then growth and change can happen. We learn, understand and feel in different ways the world around us but we all need to communicate in clear ways in order to be heard. For those who find this terribly difficult because of a disability or a trauma then it is vitally important to learn again. This programme’s second building block is this.
